Last night was the Tokyo Olympic games opening ceremony which was pretty cool. It had crazy fireworks and an astonishing drone show. Some records have already been broken like Richard Carapaz of Ecuador winning todays cycling tour, beating the silver medalist by 50 seconds which is a huge win! He is also the first Ecuadorian to win Gold in Olympic cycling. Another record that has been broken is by Sifan Hassan of Ethiopia in the women’s 10,000 metre sprint.
One of the funny things is that on all the stadiums it says Tokyo Olympics 2020 because it was postponed due to COVID. The mascots are Miraitowa and Someity.
